Hybrid working arrangement with 2 days per week minimum at our client offices in the North-West.

SALARY

£60,000 - £75,000 DOE, plus bonus and benefits

PROJECT INFORMATION

Blueprint have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Planner to work on a key UK EPC Nuclear Decommissioning project. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Project in its early stages and to be part of a high-performing team to help shape the Planning service further with the client. The Senior Planner will report to the Project Controls Manager and will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Level 3 programme by working closely with the Project stakeholders and the wider supply chain.


ROLE SCOPE

  • Continual development of the ‘rolling wave’ near-term schedule through working with Project stakeholders and the supply chain.

  • Develop and implement ‘Rules of Credit’ for objective progress assessment.

  • Maintain the baseline programme through effective change control.

  • Produce and issue a ‘Programme for Acceptance’ including supporting narrative.

  • Conduct frequent schedule quality reviews of the level 3 schedule.

  • Assure the quality of supplier schedule submissions.

  • Ensure seamless ‘vertical integration’ of supplier schedule outputs into the level 3 schedule.

  • Support EVM Schedule maturity reviews.

  • Prepare Schedule inputs for QRA modelling and provide assurance of model outputs.

  • Support any training and development of team members as required.

  • Facilitate interactive planning workshops.

  • Frequent engagement with the end client on the development of the schedule and addressing queries.

  • Conduct ‘schedule ‘What-if’ scenarios to better inform the Project forecast.

  • Produce a weekly schedule look-ahead, highlighting trends.

  • Provide schedule inputs into the Project reports.

  • Work closely with the cost team to ensure the accuracy of the Project Cost forecast.

KEY EXPERIENCE

  • Nuclear experience preferred and/or planning in a highly regulated environment.

  • Strong background in planning in an NEC environment.

  • Solid understanding and practical experience of Earned Value Management including the application of “Rules of Credit.”

  • The ability to run Quantitative Risk Analysis, (QRA) is desirable but not essential.


SYSTEMS KNOWLEDGE

  • Primavera P6, (Essential).

  • CEMAR, (Desirable).  

  • Must have a firm NEC background.
